Located at the southernmost tip of the Florida peninsula within Everglades National Park, Flamingo provides an abundance of recreational activities, and phenomenal views of the largest subtropical wilderness in the nation. Visitors are delighted by the exotic wildlife and bird watching, as well as a variety of concession-operated services, such as a marina store, boat rentals, and boat slips. You will find boat ramps and boat trailer parking for both the Backcountry and Florida Bay which are operated by the National Park Service.
We’re headed to “Everglades Flamingo” which was decimated due to prior hurricanes and lack of funding to rebuild for years. This November 1st is historic with the grand opening of Flamingo’s newly built (from shipping containers) air-conditioned motel, and restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating (not 100% certain yet due to inspections). These fully equipped condos are on stilts and have incredible views of Florida Bay.
There’s plenty of outdoor activities, whether you bring your own play-toys or rent: Interpretive Boat Tours of the Back Country and Florida Bay, Kayaking, Canoeing, Fishing, Biking, Boating, Bird watching, Stargazing, and Hiking. Bring your bicycles, kayaks, boats, fishing rods, and floating toys. For those with boats or jet skis, the launch fee is included in the park admission.
Weekend includes: 2-night stay, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, and of course S’mores Saturday evening fireside, watching the night stars during a waning crescent moon.
Reserve the entire condo and fill it yourself, adding $49 per person for group meals or reserve a room/bed and meet new friends (this pricing includes group meals). Requests for rooms/sofas need to complete a condo capacity first before confirmed.

The Everglades is a great place to photograph wildlife. In fact, there are so many things you can do here such as kayaking, canoeing, boat tours, and more! But one thing’s for sure: if you’re looking for an adventure with plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with nature, the Everglades is the perfect place to be.
Flamingo Everglades is one of the best places in the world to see a variety of wildlife. You’ll see manatees, crocodiles, alligators, and many other species of birds during your visit.
Migratory birds are a big part of Flamingo’s wildlife. They come from as far as Canada and Central America and can be seen in the park year-round.
Some species include ducks, geese, and shorebirds such as plovers (like the American Oystercatcher) or sandpipers (such as the Least Sandpiper). A few even migrate here during their winter break from breeding season!
